First time buying a used subwoofer..

I am looking to purchase a 12" AA Mayhem off someone I found on craigslist. This is the first time I am buying a used subwoofer so I just need advice on what to look out for. Mind you, I never had a broken subwoofer or dealt with any subs that were faulty.

So like I said just looking for any advice on what to inspect when buying this. I am going about an hour away, so I don't wanna waste my time not knowing what to look out for.

have a quality dmm that reads properly, put the amp on a test tone and run it to a good amount of excursion. gently and evenly push up and down on the cone to check for any noise and how smoothly it moves. check the leads to see if theres any breaks or burns. look at the coil to see how dark it is, dark is fine, black is not.

Take a DMM and make sure the coils read what they should. Push down evenly on the woofer and make sure the coil isn't rubbing/scratching. If you can best thing is play the woofer and make sure it works fine.
