I've been reading around the forums for a while now just never got to post anything. Most threads i come across are "which will sound better" posts...so i hate to do this on a first post buy I'm stuck between deciding on a couple of 12" subs. I'm either going for 2 12 re se, 2 12 sx, 2 12 IA Lethal Injections, or a single 12 RE MX. Space is limited....I have a 2001 bmw 330ci so trunk space varies from the back of the trunk to the outhermost part. The back of the trunk is about W30xH16 and the outher most part is W36xH16xD22. I want the subs to be loud while still retaining some quality and clarity. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance. Nice to meet all of you. and i'll be running these on a saz 1500d unless you guys have something else to better fit my setup

sealed or ported box just depends on what you want. Or DD audio or Audioque are

Im on a budget here too..I couldnt find anything on audioque as far as prices etc... I'm checking out the dc sound lab as we speak.

thanks for the help btw...if i sit here another day researching prices youtube videos etc...ill drive myself crazy, i want to be deaf already....and all said and done if i spent around 800-900 dollars id be good. but saving some would be nice as well...

I gotta go so I can't recommend much at the moment, but what is your electrical OP?

You guys are all recommending him AQ2200's, but no stock electrical can handle that without a second battery, or a new alt.

If you are running off your stock electrical and don't want to upgrade, I think the SAZ1500 is the most you are going to want to run.

2 SE's ported would LOVE the 1500, and would sound **** good too. My friend had them sealed and now ported and they are great.

2 SE's, a 1500, and KNU wiring are well within your budget. That will probably be your best bet. Any electrical upgrades required to run the AQ2200 will probably put you over your budget.

Make sure you know your trunk well, it sucks building boxes that don't fit.

i think im going to go with ses in a 2.95cf tunes to 35hz in the free enclosure sticky...with the saz 1500d....I really wouldnt want to upgrade all my electrical...most i would want to do is get another battery. but no one recomends the LI's? Most are saying the SEs....unless someone has another recommendation for me I will go with these....ikesound on ebay is selling them for 120 shipped //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wow.gif.23d729408e9177caa2a0ed6a2ba6588e.gif.....any experience with ikesound?

aq2200d for 389?!?! where can i get one of these...there site says they are sold out. that would allow me to spend that extra on a yellow top...a friend of mine works at a caraudio store and can get one for 80.

The 2200 is a great deal for 389, if they are sold out though your only option is to get one used for now. I have seen a few on the forums floating around for sale used, just search.

A yellow top in the back, assuming your front battery is still strong, would really help out with the 2200. Whether or not your car will be fine really depends on what kind of music you listen to, and the car. Every car is different. I would recommend getting a digital volt display and mounting it up somewhere you can see it, they are only $25 bucks or so on ebay, and whenever you drop below 12 just turn it down a tad. With another battery you will probably only drop low if you are playing tones or rap songs with a continuous bass line. Even then you might not, it is all car dependent.

Also, if you do plan on getting the 2200, I don't think the SE's are the right sub for you anymore. The SX, FI Q, FI BL, AQ HDC, SSA Icon, etc. are more in the 1000 RMS range.

If your buying off ebay, I would make sure they have a VERY good feedback percentage. This may seem high, but I only buy from ones with 99%+, sometimes 98. It is just so frustrating, and costs a lot of time and money when something gets messed up.

so SEs over the IA lethal injection, these SEs will get plenty loud correct off the 1500w. lets say i got the sxs would they sound louder off the 1500w from the sundown or should i stick with the SEs
