First ever legailized drag races on city streets..

anyone else start drewlllinnn when that GTR took off?
I got to do an install on one not to long ago and was able to drive it around that day. I didn't play around in it, but the owner took me for a spin and was all about showing off. Wish the wife wouldn't mind that much dept, I would love to own one.

how was the ride? feel solid? fast of course?
That car is for chicks bro, it's basically a sentra with a fart can and extra trim.

Nothing special. I much prefer my 1981 grand am, super reliable bro and pretty fast cuz it's the GT model!!

all wheel drive GT-R for the ****** win

yessir.. That was my friends Husband .. they got it 3 months ago.. Its actually her car, shes gonna race it next year

lol Nobody knew what it was.. Its whisper quiet and was blowing away 500 hp muscle/drag cars all day long.. thing launches like a sonofabish

That jeep with the blower is sick as hell
I got a vid of the GTR walking on that, as well as a old school Typhoon

Also got a vid of him losing to a beetle //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif 700 hp, but still a beetle

From the looks of it, I take it that was an 1/8 mile set up??
yea even tho we have the length, the city wouldnt approve it.. many big reasons

- that road is concrete

- Drivers are not allowed to glue the tires

- some of these will do 200 mph in the 1/4

- its a miracle the city approved the 1/8 in the first place..

this is the first ever drag race in America that is "legal" on city streets

They are trying to get the city to approve a once a month 1/4 mile drag days at our Airport, but thats not looking good

I think they should do the next one on Hennepin, downtown, right before it stops being a one way..
get your own show

His IS the "Kia of DULUTH drag races and car show"

When did this race take place??

And here is a Legal drag race on a city street in Iowa...so yours may not be the first but that is still way cool.

IMO, we need more of this.
