Okay so i built this MONSTER of a box for my 3 10" type-Rs. (3.9cubes at 32hz) Well i was almost done when i realized that i hadnt followed my plans correctly and my port was flush with the edge of the box instead of 3/4" back like it should have been. So now the back side of the port is 3/4" wider than it needs to be. Bah. I havent hooked it up, i figured it would sound terrible. Its finished i just dont know if it would be worth the effort. Anyway, i started a new box, following Aplines recommendations exactly. I was wondering if there is any disadvantage to running three 10s in 3 seperate boxes all the exact same size and tuning?

You probably won't notice it to be quite honest. I made a box for an 8" sub that was 1" wide on the face and 2.25" along the back and it was one of the loudest 8" i've ever heard. Don't know why, but that ****er slammed.

i can't exactly picture what you did, but if a piece is too long, you can always cut it shorter //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif or maybe just re-cut the one wall that is off?

it will just change the tuning by a somewhat hard to calculate amount (but not that much)

depending on how long each section is, i'd say a couple Hz higher tuning, probably un-noticeable to your ear.
