I finally got around to uploading the pics I have shot of my system being installed/finished. Everything is now installed, I just didn't get pics on some of them. If you saw my "first box" project, you would know that this is my first attempt at doing anything. I cannot, however take credit for installing the Dynamat or the Focals, I had help with that.

anyways to the good stuff, the pics.

I got the dynamat from a friend who works at best buy. he bought the door kit for like 30 bucks or something and used 10 square feet of it and gave me the 3 he had left over. so he just sold it to me for 10 bucks b/c he had no use for it.

And no I did not nail my sub in, I just used lag bolts for security reasons.

Nah, it's that you could of lifted up the gasket and secured it down.

i can see why you used bolts, but did it ever cross your mind that they might jsut take the whole box?

i would have used tourque, torx (spelling?) screws just buy a few from hd or lowes, then brace it down with torque screws, harder to steal then bolts, and i think they would rather take the box with the sub rather than just the sub

yes I did both. I also bolted my box down, you have to take the sub out..to un-screw the bolt holding down my box. I'll take a pic of it later.

well the car jacker could do what he did to my friend... he couldnt get the subs or the box out, so he just stabbed the speakers with his screwdriver.

Thats an ******* move...my friend got his car broken into a few days ago. They couldnt break into his trunk (no truck latch inside the car) so they took his faceplate. Key: NOT the cd player, just the Faceplate.

wow......that'd be really really gay if someone did that. It's hard to be 100% safe in "all" situations. I think I'll give them a run for their money though if they try.
