finding volume of an oddly shaped enclosure

get some garbage bags and seal it up well, use a measureing cup and fill it up with water.. measure the water you pour in then convert it to volume in cubic feet.. this will give you a pretty much exact estimate of the total volume of the enclosure.. im not sure what type of enclosure you have, but i use this method for fiberglass... haven't had any problems with it yet

Another way is to use packaging peanuts. Put them in your enclosure till its full, then transfer them to a box. You can then use the normal HxWxD to find volume
