finding volume of an oddly shaped enclosure

get some garbage bags and seal it up well, use a measureing cup and fill it up with water.. measure the water you pour in then convert it to volume in cubic feet.. this will give you a pretty much exact estimate of the total volume of the enclosure.. im not sure what type of enclosure you have, but i use this method for fiberglass... haven't had any problems with it yet
