ok guys, i started this post under "wattage results" and got a lot of answers. i finally got an ammeter but it limitd out. it only went to 25 volts when i needed one to read over 40 so the amps peaked also. anyway i went to the other formula saying voltage squared divided by ohms equals watts. v^2/r=w. if this is right let me know but anyway my voltage read 40 on both channels and my subs are supposed to be dual 4 ohm. iwired them 2ohm so this should give me a continous power of 800 per channel right. if this is correct i am sasitified.
the next question in the same subject is if i mono my amp does my voltage reading stay the same or does it double. i never measured that way.
also i understand that the amount of fuse protection limits the amount of overal readings in voltage and power and all so with that i have 2 25amp fuses on the amp itself and a 100amp fuse under the hood what factor does this play in.
i know when i run this amp mono at 2 ohm my vehicle electrial system dims. but when i run it at 2 ohm stereo i do not have that problem. from what i understand, wouldnt 2 ohm stereo be more work for the amp than 2 ohm mono. i am running both channels seperate at 2ohm versus combining both into one channel at the same ohm load. and when i combine them i only run 1 sub instead of 2. please send help any way you all know of.
