Finally....my finished install

thanx for the compliments guys...its been more than 1.5 years since i had a system in my car.

Thanx for the critisizm also...altho i'm not changing anything except the speaker wire to my subs and hiding the power cable better

Very nice, I like the comp set installation. I bet it sounds great.

Did you make those kickpanels? Or are they Q-forms?

How is the imaging?

My bass is also much much louder in my car than outside, especially with my windows up, which I am thankful for. I don't want everyone knowing I have a system, don't want it ripped off. But sometimes I wonder if the bass actually travels far. Once I was testing it in my friend's driveway and they said they could hear the bass from inside the house/garage. So I don't know, I want to test it though. Weird because if I crank it and then stand outside my car, all I hear is some mids.

they are q forms...the sound is very suprizing...there are alot of qform haters here but i like them overall. I also have a set of 3.5" coaxs in my dash that really helps round out the highs alot. At least in my crappy little towm, people are pretty amazed when they hear my system versus the average loud system around here which is usually all lows and highs....no representation anywhere in between

I certainly have nothing against Q-forms. If you don't have the resources or time to do your own fiberglassing, they're a great alternative. Just a tad flimsy, if I used them I would brace or deaden them. If I was bored enough, haha.

Yeah, there is a dude who lives here who drives around in some 80s car (only seen at a distance) with big ugly rims and his windows down cranking his "music." I can hear the distortion and bottoming out from 100 feet away. Oh, not to mention the ear-bleeding distorted highs. He makes me laugh.

Nice setup. I'm assuming those are the new Rs? I heard a set of the old ones, and they were terrible. Highs were waaaaaaaaaaaaay too harsh. Granted, this was in a display, but still

I was wondering how the 5.25s kept up with the 2 15s but after seein that you have some in the dash it helped clear things up.. Sweet job looks slick.

Are the amps gonna get beauty panels over them?
