thats cool...i did it all myself, box, amps, wiring, new carpet . I wish i could flush mount the comps in my doors but the glass won't allow me too do that.i like the substage. and sub amp. the comps/comp install.... blah. 4.5/10
they are q forms...the sound is very suprizing...there are alot of qform haters here but i like them overall. I also have a set of 3.5" coaxs in my dash that really helps round out the highs alot. At least in my crappy little towm, people are pretty amazed when they hear my system versus the average loud system around here which is usually all lows and highs....no representation anywhere in betweenVery nice, I like the comp set installation. I bet it sounds great.
Did you make those kickpanels? Or are they Q-forms?
How is the imaging?
My bass is also much much louder in my car than outside, especially with my windows up, which I am thankful for. I don't want everyone knowing I have a system, don't want it ripped off. But sometimes I wonder if the bass actually travels far. Once I was testing it in my friend's driveway and they said they could hear the bass from inside the house/garage. So I don't know, I want to test it though. Weird because if I crank it and then stand outside my car, all I hear is some mids.
I certainly have nothing against Q-forms. If you don't have the resources or time to do your own fiberglassing, they're a great alternative. Just a tad flimsy, if I used them I would brace or deaden them. If I was bored enough, haha.they are q forms...the sound is very suprizing...there are alot of qform haters here but i like them overall.
