i know a lot of you were wanting numbers a long time ago, but the closest meter is owned by Scottie Johnson, and he's busy man this time of year. so, i decided to hit this small local show today...err...yesterday
it was run almost identically to a MECA show, and they even used the Termlab. scores were taken outlaw in the kick. in my first run, i had to find frequency and max volume. ended that round with a 149.4 at 53hz
second run, i add a couple clicks up from my last run, and track up to 54 in the lanes. drive up to the judging area, and i get out of my truck this time, because a 150+ run while in the vehicle = DQ. time starts, hit it, mid 149, couple more volume clicks, end up with a **** 149.9. i tried desperately to gain that other tenth, but it just wasn't happening. that was the loudest score of the day, winning me first place, and i also received the Best Of Show award.
i however, do think the truck will do a 150 as it sits, just gotta find the tricks to it. pretty amazing IMO for entry level woofers (~$100 a piece) but, the 187's are leaving, and the Lethal Injections are coming to stay a while. hopefully i'll see a 151+ with a sub swap.
all in all, most fun i've had in a while. this SPL stuff is addictive. specs are in the sig for anyone interested
