Picked this sub up from itzme218 last Friday for $160 including the box. Pretty good deal I'd say. Box is 2.0 @ 32hz. It wouldn't fit in the trunk opening no matter how hard we tried to fit it. I took all the trunk panels off, unbolted the latch, etc. Wasn't going through the rear seat opening either because of the brace. Oh well. Took the rear seat cusion out, folded down the seat backs and set it on top for the drive home.
Got some time yesterday, so I took the spare tire out and got it in there, then I lifted the box up and had a buddy slide the tire under. Only thing is there was no way I was getting the mat back in under the box so meh. This box is temporary until I get my IB setup done. Got a LOT of sound deadening to order...
Before:
After:
Threw a moving blanket back there to cover the spare tire and provide a little sound deadening for now. My car didn't have many rattle to begin with though. Looks so ghetto with the bungee cords tethering it to the rear brace; literally pains me to see wires and bare metal in the trunk. It's ok though, once I get the rear seat delete/IB setup/amp rack all done it will be all cleaned up. This is just to get me through the next couple of weeks until I'm out of school. What do you think?
Also got my KnuKonceptz speaker wire (KL3, 4ft of 10 gauge for sub, 35 ft of12 for mids, 40 ft of 14 for tweets) and RCAs (4m Krystals) in to replace all the other stuff in there. I hate the **** Monster Cable ones. They pulled the daamn RCA inputs right out of the fuggin amp!
