Finally got my RE8 hooked-up!

Well just a little update= I made the vid but I need to edit it out, gotta record it from my tv so qualiy isn't gonna be great. But realmofexcursion has exceeded bandwidth.. I gotta talk to shon. When I made my vid I was in the driveway playing the sub at volume 22/33 and my Grandma says I was rattling the dishes.. heh I don't believe her but tell me guys how can an 8 rattle windows?? its only an 8! not a 12 or anything.

you don't lose that much volume by stepping down sub sizes. You do lose some, but it's not a killer amount. Most likely if a 12 can do it a 8 can do it, albeit you'll push it a bit harder.

You can get 6.5's to rattle dishes. Mine rattle every part of my car now It's great.

I played this song and the three songs that 80INCHES sent me and for the window rattle I played the song Bass Mekanik. (Vid found at ROE)

And yes I have the amp settings tuned correctly because even Marc Deschamps says that it wasn't clipping at all and I could've raised the gains a little higher.

By the way as you noticed I have the amp in the trunk now hehe. I totally hid the wires under the carpet. (Power and remote wires ran to the drivers side of the car under the door trim carpet, And The RCAs ran on the passenger side of the car under the carpet and door trim). Only wire I see is the power wire in the split tubing under the steering wheel. Thats the wire I ran through the firewall. (Battery+ to amp) I could've hid that but no one will notice the wire unless they stick their head under the car with their butt sticking out //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif.

And I have a good ground that is mounted in the trunks frame. I just found a bolt that holds the rear seats in place and ground it there instead of drilling a hole. I had to grind off some paint to expose some metal though.
