Finally got my RE8 hooked-up!

Hey tRiGgEr, By the way I set the freq to 100hz and set the gains about 3/4 and the sub has an excursion like the regular re8 videos you see on ROE. Sounds pretty loud too. I still shake my house glasses, bathroom door knobs and ceiling lights but my rosary (Cross hanging from mirror) don't fly around like last time.
But the bottom line is that im not clipping my amp OR abusing the sub.. Just the box is too big some say so yeah, should I use the bandpass box that my optimus pro series sub was in? will it sound louder in the bandpass or shall I seal it?

Good to hear you are taking it easy on it. It sucks to have to replace a piece of equipment due to user error. A big pain in the ars and a waste of money.

Try to get a local shop to build you a decent ported box. Or learn how to design one then give it a go.

A ported box is going to give you the most output, and I feel bad that you have it in that box. Give it a proper home man

lol yeah but I still feel bad that I had abused it like that. The sub was so loud though, sounded like a 12. But now I have it set right and it sounds very clean. I still cant believe how low it hits.. I was playing the song no problems by lil scrappy and I decided to put down the windows and walk around my house from the driveway //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif and man The sub sounds just as loud as in the car and waaay deep lower... Talking about dumping the lows. pretty loud for 75wrms.

Then I usually take out the sub and amp from the car and leave the wires, Then I leave the sub and amp in my room to prevent theft. But in a little while im gonna leave it in the car.

Right now the sub is across of my room smiling at me so happy that I am feeding him power correctly not too little or not too much but juuust right //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

Whoops sorry. Its the friendly local language that we usually use here in Hawaii. Shoots usually means okay.. For example= one person says= "see you later brah"

the other person says "k shoots then" so its like he says (Okay then). and for brah we use that sometimes "brah" is like "bro" so if someone says= "eh brah!" he's actually speaking to the person translation= ("Hey bro!"). Another word we use is the word DA Kine which means (The Type or The Type Of)
