Now get the car painted and dubbed or //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/ban.gif.ce8465566702ef9f72e97e794ed1c86a.gif
Anyways, looks good. Fits right in. How much does that bish weigh?
why do i need the car to get painted, or "dubbed"

shipping weight was about 30lbs, haven't actaully weighed it

What kind of performance does it have under the hood? I hope a good amount, if not I would spend more on the looks
bone stock, i have a couple motor options im looking at but my other Z is getting a 1995 300Zx TT motor

not sure bout this one, might do a mild NA buildup

if he gets that car dubbed, i will shoot him

i dont understand why people rush to get cf parts when there are much better ways to invest their money in their cars and get actual gains. but at the end of the day all that matters is that you enjoy it so props

because his other car didnt even have a hood. now the stock red hood is being painted and put on his blue car. and the fact that hood isnt exactly "around" i believe, kinda makes it cool. Chris you said this wasnt exactly a "*****d out" hood didnt you, not many around?

unpainted carbon fiber is just as bad as unpainted body kits, imo

looks like ****

a better use of your money would be some wax, some nice chamois, and a bottle of soap for those wheels, just as much bang for your buck, you wouldn't look like a choch, and you wouldn't have to worry about your ungodly expensive hood catching wind and busting the **** out of your windshield

i dunno about that ^

but the car would look nicer with a new paint job (or a good buffing from a detailer who knows his s**t) and a set of 17's //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

that said, the DF hood looks good... and OEM is almost always best...

I agree with the unpainted CF perspective. Paint the hood to match your car, but leave a unpainted portion with the Z logo. By doing so, your car doesn't look to gaudy while letting your friends see what the hood is really made of.

Edit: Not a HUGE Z logo, but as big as the rest of the emblems on the car. Maybe leave a unpainted portion that says, "Fairlady Z."

maybe you kids dont read.....he needed a hood for his other car, i believe he got a pretty good deal on this hood, and put it on his red one, so his other car had a hood.
listen 17 yearold. perhaps if you could read maybe you'd notice they were talking about it being unpainted. not it being cf.

IMO the only time a CF hood is gahdy is when everyone with the same car has one, and when they have hoodpins though them

as far as i know and im still researching this, there a 5 of these hoods worldwide, i feel lucky to have one, and will not be ruining it with paint, the cars theme is red/black/cf, the use of CF will be minimal and when it is used it will be tasteful, i feel that the fact that this is a OEM style CF hood makes it more tasteful then those 'invader' style CF's

i will not be putting any fairlady logos, emblems, or anything to mention the fairlady, my car is not a fairlady, so therefore why would i promote it as such, my car is a USDM 300zx 2+2 and will promoted as such
