'03 Honda Accord : Lowering and System questions

Has anybody ever successfully done an audio install in an 03 accord coupe that has the factory nav? i cant seem to find any dash kits, nor do i even know if using an LOC is worth the hassle.

Also, to lower the car...say 1.5-2" all around...what am i looking at for parts? Springs, shocks, struts, coilovers? I have no idea where to start looking... (car has 49k miles on it...pictures hopefully by the end of today). Ive seen lowering 'parts' go from 100$ for a set of springs to $2000 for a set of Tein SSP Coilovers...

Any recommendations on what kit to use? Im just looking to put the car to one height and leave it...dont need any highly adjustable ones or anything.

edit

also, when getting new struts, you need to buy new shocks...right? what exactly do struts do?

you dont need new struts but i highly recommend it. struts help improve the ride quality and performance of your suspension. throwing on lowering springs on OEM struts is definately a bad idea. when i first got my car, i went with sleeved coilovers and ran those on OEM struts...they blew eventually and ride quality was pure crap. sleeved coilovers were known to have a much stiff ride and not much ride comfort. which is why i switched over to eibach sportline springs (1.4" drop) paired up with koni yellows (performance struts). im glad i spent every penny on my new suspension. you get what you pay for.

cliffs - dont buy sleeved coilovers. if you go with full coilovers, get legit quality japanese made, not china/tawain (megan racing) made products. springs offer much better ride quality than sleeved coilovers. but full coilovers...the springs are matched to go with the strut thats on it. tein basic comes to mind.

what is your max budget for your entire suspension setup? what is your goal out of this? who will be installing this? put these in order in top priority, 1 being highest; low price/performance/ride comfort.

full coilovers range from 700+

springs - $200 for a decent set like eibach

struts - 400-800

couple brands to look into for springs - eibach, koni (koni makes a spring/strut kit), tein, H&R

struts - koni red (non adjustable), koni yellow (adjustable/performance orientated), tokico, kyb.

plan on investing into a camber kit (100+). lowering a car can throw off camber/toe/caster/etc which will lead to premature tire wear and your car leaning to one side unevenly. an alignment is always recommended (some might say required) after any suspension work that is done. alignments run from $80-120...i rather spend $120 than spend another $400 on tires.

fyi the drop zone kits are one of the more shitty kits i ever seen...a buddie got a kit for his 94 akkerd and his was suposed to be a 2.5 inch drop, mine was a 2.25 inch drop and his car was 1" higher than mine

if i were you and just wanted to lower it for one setting...then i would go with koni yellow struts, with H&R springs. both of them are extremely reliable. and will give you a good, not harsh sporty ride. and also the koni yellows have an adjustable dampening level. so do tokico illuminas. just a click of a screwdriver. very simple but yet give you a nice personal adjustment for your liking.

also you might want to get an adjustable camber kit. you might not need one but better safe than sorry. i believe SPC makes a kit for the accord. i have them on my car with tokiko illmina shocks and eibach pro-kit springs. thay are also available for your car but from what you say you want. id go with the Konis, and H&R
