dude come to one of the meca comps in tn and ill help you. i did a 142.6 with a little over 1 kw with an l7 15 in a trunk car at 39hz at the head. one kid did a 145 with one 12 and 2kw. i am by no means an expert but your score should be waaaaaaaaay higher.

i hope i hit a 140 in a trunk car with my fi q 12" d2 running off of 1300 @ 4 ohms from 2 1000D's sundowns.. when i get 2nd sub not sure if ill stay with fi, but i hoping for 144's with another sub. ported at 34ish. and run at 2000 @ 2 ohm ill do sub foward, and prob port through rear deck and seal the back trunk off.

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.....
Where was the mic located?

actually I was hoping for 140 but I think if I tuned a bit higher I could get it.
Orion puts out 1700 @ 2 but I have the gains down for about 1k right now.
Quick question. How does the gain setting on your amp lower the output power to 1k.??

Gains can be used to limit amplifier output, assuming your gains have downward adjustment available. Its quite common to use gains to level match speakers when blending a fully active system together, for example.

Ya what he said......Thanks for the help there

It's still not limiting the amplifiers output. It's for matching the input from the head unit. It does NOT stop the amp from putting out its potential. Lowering a gain only means you have to turn up the volume louder to reach the amp's full potential. Which is counter productive as turning MOST head units up to full volume will clip the preouts and send a clipped signal to the amps. But whatever, I was off topic anyway.
