Finally got a High Def TV *Pics inside*

Well yesterday I was walking through sears and I see this really nice looking Sharp Aquos and think I can't afford that, well I look at the price tag and its marked down from 2,100$ to 1,100$. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/yumyum.gif.0556df42231b304b9c995aefd13928a8.gif

So needless to say I go find the specs on it, see that it is 1080p, 6ms response time, built in tuners, 1,600:1 contrast ratio, dual HDMI inputs, etc, etc. I find an employee and procede through the required steps to take this monster home with me.

The reason it was marked down was some family bought it and then returned it the next day or something and there was nothing wrong with it. I got the 3yr no questions asked warranty from sears on it so I could care less if it dies next year, I get a brand new TV for free. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fro.gif.c695f1f814b01c4ad99fe7f8cccadd29.gif

I love this TV, watching movies is pretty much amazing on it and the picture is just plain badass. The DVD player for it is the high end Oppo that upconverts to 1080p. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Those pictures do no justice to how good the displays are on the Sharp Aquos TV's, just amazing.

The oppo is on the HDMI, my roommates PS2 is on the composite.

spend money and get a hddvd player or blu-ray, can find the toshiba hd-a2 for 200$ish vs blu ray for 400$+

I will NOT buy a HDDVD or Blu-Ray player untill the format war is over and everything is in one format. 1080p upconvert is good enough for my purposes.
