The pioneer is basically the same price as the alpine, but the pioneer is refurbished, basically brand new. They both are like $980. Now, the major differences are is that pioneer has navigation. Do I really need it? I dont know, but its something good to have I guess once in awhile just nice to have. I have played with the avic-n1 and its slow with the hour glass loading the mp3 cd and scrolling. I havent tried the alpine, but the alpine looks nice the graphics and its a 7" screen. Pioneer doesnt come with a remote and I dont think any remote is compataible thats a nice one like the cd-r5 is for avic-n2. I also can get the same price for the avic-n2, but Im not saudering jumpers together. Its basically same thing with newer software. What do you think? I keep going back and forth. The thing I dont like about alpine is with the indash is closed, it doesnt even display the clock. Thats so dumb.
