I finally came to the realization that deadening my car will not only be beneficial for the stereo, but also with roadnoise. To get the job done I ordered some Raammat BXT from RAAMaudio. Rick was very quick in shipping out the order. It's to bad UPS routed my package wrong which added three days to the delivery time //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/mad.gif.c18f003ab0ef8a0d9c27ca78d77a6392.gif

I'm going to keep this update as I go through the car. Today I was able to finish both doors. With the small opening to get into the inside this was no easy task. Here's some pics:

Next I will be doing the trunk lid (The bottom of the trunk was done before the install) and then after the entire floor.

No Ensolite MLC FTL

Looks great, I am planning do use the same stuff for my whole car, and the ensolite also. If you really want to kill road noise you should use it also. Since you're doing the whole car you might as well do it right.

Does it make that much of a difference? I have no experience with it and was just wondering how much more it could possibly kill roadnoise over the mat.

Are those AA Polys?
Yes

Yes
Never used it actually, but I will once I save up enough to get a shit load of raammat and ensolite.

From what I've read it makes a good difference. Someone said it breaks down into 50% noise killed with vibration damper and then another 25% with the sound filter.

Basically it stops the noise coming from the outside into the car. Vibration damper like raamat is designed to stop the panels from vibrating, not specifically to stop airborne noise, though it does that too.

Hey man, this is something Rick told me when I was doing my deadening project and I figured I would pass it along. If/when you get tired of looking at the mat on your trunk lid grab a couple yard of ensolite and cover it. Helped with trunk rattles too.
