What else will i need? If i have a cap will i need a high amp alt.?

if ur getting two subs and want a final load of 1 ohm, get the dual 4 ohm vc versions. as for recommendations, a hifonics brutus 1500 seems like it should do the trick, and it still looks good, but alot more toned down from that audiobahn amp. in my opinion it looks much better, and would look great in a custom install.

again a budget would be helpful. depending on what impedence you go with these amps should work. cadence z5000 or z1200, orion 1200D, pg tantrum 1200.1, directed 1500D, mtx 1501D, rockford 1501BD, viper d1200.1, kicker kx1200.1, memphis mc1000D, crossfire vr1000D, just a few off the top of my head. the reason i asked if you were in high school was because high schoolers get caught up in audiobahn pretty little chrome flames and that's why they buy them.

yea i do get caught up in that a little. Budget im trying to keep it fairly cheap. Ive been Ebaying for amps, the audiobahn was 429. Trying not to go over 500

Im building a 2000 z-71 all black interior with carbon fiber and diamond plate trim with blue neons. building a center console that extends from dash to level with the back window. and im going to (attempt) fiberglass boxes on both sides of the console.

Kinda hard to explain but im keeping a good pic archive of the whole thing

Probably going to put a laptop in too. Is it possible to wire it through inputs on a head unit?

I have 40 gigs of music and dont want to have 600 cds

For wiring, I'd use 1/0ga.

For the laptop, if your HU has auxillary inputs then yes, you can run the output from your soundcard to the input on the headunit.

Thats strange the highest one I saw was 1687rms.
