Fiberglassing inside of box???

I built a box last night for my new sub and I usually use silicone to make it air tight. Well, I have a lot of left over resin and I am wondering if I can use the resin in the corners to make the box air tight, and a lot stronger??? Anyone ever done this before??? Will it affect the sound at all??

thanks

Won't make it much stronger, resin by itself is rather brittle and weak. It will however seal it up tighter than a nun's panties. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif You still might need to seal the seams with silicon before hand depending upon how tight your seams are . //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I used the resin to round of the corners and it worked pretty well. Built 2 identicle boxes to see if it would get louder...

all seams are sealed tightly (like a nun's panties //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif) with glue and mbf dust.....just want something that is utterly air tight. I have used silicone in the past, just thought I would give this an idea.....

No need for glass unless you need to reinforce. Just use resin and it will be as close to air tight as you can get. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
