Amateur stuff really. I couldn't go MDF with the way I designed it, so I went Fiberglass.

Their is 4 layers of fully saturated Mat (fine woven automotive mat) and on the top, we layed a thick layer of resin (darker brown spots) to try to smooth it out a bit. I need more resin and then I'm putting 3 more layers on the bottom, 2 more on the top, and sanding down. After that, I'm going to fiberglass the inside seam of the Fiberglass section to ensure and inside and outside seal.

The bottom was the part I was displeased with. I need to seal it because it is barely sealed, and also, it has flex whereas the top doesn't.

Any opinions?

Looks decent so far my man //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Did you use any mold fabric ? Or did you just put mat ? Mold fabric will give you a more curved /shaped surface to lay mat on , and save you an arse load of filler work //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Hey, Thanks guys!

Been busy, so haven't visited the site in a little bit. I just finished throwing 4 more layers on, and I'm letting it sit for the final cure.

I also loaded the inside seam with some silicone II bathroom sealant to make sure the pressure doesn't push out of the sides.

I'm not sure, but I'm thinking when I get some more money, I'm gonna buy a gallon of Resin, 20 yards of Mat, and a quart of Steel Gray Metallic (color of my car) and painting it up all nice. Then, I'll get 3 coats of Clear coat (automotive grade) and we'll be done

Looks good, Just one ? Wheres it going? Lol
It's fitting into the corner of my Impreza's Trunk. I tried to avoid the space consuming Square type enclosure for space reasons. Next time, It'll be all Fiberglass //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I'm throwing roughly 500 RMS into a 10" Phoenix Gold. I don't have many inbetween pics, but I'll see if I can find some for your guys //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

P.S.- Ramos, I just stapled Mat as tight as I could to each side and saturated with Resin. It actually dripped onto the bottom //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif It did sag a bit, but when I get the last of the Fiberglass, I'll grab some body filler and fill in to make it flat. I have 5 layers on the top (curved, so much stronger) and 8 on the sides (it was flatter.)
