fiberglass question

So I have decided that I need to do fiberglass for my sub enclosure. My question is, and I have the instructions from a site on how to do it since this is my first time (fingers crossed), can I do the mold from outside the car instead of inside? Let me explain. I have an 06 civic and I just removed all the panels from the trunk to do the dynamat. Well I'm going to put my box in the rear corner of the trunk because of spacing issues. I have two kids, and with it comes stuff! So anyway back to it. I am going to put the box in the rear corner of the trunk. I took the panel out and it's what I need to mould. So is it too flimsy and need to leave it in the trunk or can I, for ventallation and ease of application purposes, take it back out and do the mould outside the car? Any help or advise would be greatly appreciated.

if your carpet panels are stiff, you can do it outside. im assuming your mounting your sub behind a wheel well? just be sure to tape it off. after the first layer dries you really wont need the panel unless your checking fit.
