Fiberglass is difficult

Search is easy. If I could get search to work and not return an error message.

That makes sense, and I'm also bothered by not having a search option anymore.

I dont mind the work, it's just the cost of the resin for me. And getting the hardener right.
I got ten gallons of resin with hardener for $350. It also came with measuring cups. For five gallons, you can get a pretty good deal too

I have a buddy who has done fiberglass for 32 years, industrial equipment trucks as well as boats. I got 2.5 gal resin and 10oz of hardener, yards and yards iof 3oz csm, buckets, stirrers, measuring cups... for $20. I'd have built rectangular over paying retail for glass.

About mixing the right amount of hardener, he drew a random line halfway up one bucket and said use this much resin, then looked at the measuring cup and said to fill it to, "oh, about where the curved plastic bottom of the cup meets the side". No measurements.

i like fiber glassing. not hard at all.

its only a bitchh if your doing a multi curved part you want glass smooth. but all you need is some rage gold.

i would rather glass the burn in some body panels.

You talking 3oz mat? Cuz that is NOT for curved surfaces, either .75oz mat or weaved cloth is MUCH easier to work with.

MEKP chart online gives a good idea of mixing ratios for various temps/curing time....
