Fiberglass dash

If you do that, you might end up with adheasion problems and then it being too big to go back in easily.

 

I suggest stripping it down and then starting from there.

 

I don't have pics of the box caprice I did, but I do have pics of a Cutlass (green) and a Monte Carlo (primed) dash I did.

 

Both were stripped down, gauge panels remade and then 'glassed.

Both of those were hydro hopper show cars.

 

I have a Regal (G body) in my shop right now that is for the same guy with the green car.

It will be his daily driver and will have vents incorperated.

 

If I think about it, I'll do a build thread here.

 
But it is the same basic thing. Just cut in new vents and attach them to the ducting.

 

 

 

I also searched my computer and can not find the Caprice dash pics.

No reason you couldn't just glue a ring of plywood up under there then paint it with some bedliner or plasti-dip or similar to keep the elements...
