well i hope mine sounds good i dont have the cash for a 550 dollar box so i might try to build myself a sealed one for the 2 l's with about 3.2net airspace and i will have them hooked up to a kicker 1500.1 and if i feel lucky i might try to build a ported myself but i dont kno

for my highs and mids i am planning on having polk momo's comps upfrtont getting 120rms each side and for rear fill having polk momo's 6.5 running around 75rms powered by a kicker 650.4

how will all that sound

for the subs...are u thinking of doing fiberglass urself? its really not hard, it just takes a lot of time and patience. as for mdf, if u can build sealed u can build ported.

hell im only 18... ever done paper mache? fiberglass is very much the same thing. wood will give you no problems but also will take more tools/

for glass youll need, paintbrushes and a sander as ur tools. a jigsaw or router is also needed to make a circle..borrow one or something. or buy and return whatever.

if u wanna custom fit it to part of ur car you cover that area in some beefy layers of painters tape, spray it down in wd 40 and then start laying down glass.when it hardens you use dowels glued onto that and mount a ring the size of ur sub diameter onto that dowel and stretch spandex over that rig and staple it down to the existing glass back piece u made. that makes ur sub be the furtherst part out and give the box shape.

check out the tutorials.....It's pretty simple. Once it warms up, I'm going to be glassing a 10"er into my center console Just for shits and giggles.

Just make sure you wear a respirator.....Those fumes are nasty.

wow 600 on average for a good one, Ill sell those around here for 375 each to people just for free practice and a small bit of change, get good and then do mine =) Yea its kinda using other people but then they get FG for like half off so I dont feel bad about it

its a rip off for both to be honest. wood costs $25 for a box ur size. probably 150-200 for a glass box ur size. but factor in labor and ur gonna get screwed.id hope thats for glass but you never can tell.

other good guides for glassing are the videos on CarAudioHelp.com. I paid like 30 bucks to get like 5 videos. Pretty good in FG area and then get into more detail with the projects but its good. As far as glassing itself goes, just get out there and do it. Its not that hard. The first box i ever made was fiberglass molded to the back of my truck with a fg front, and then painted (way too much sanding by the way). but not hard. be patient and dont rush it

? are u telling me a fiberglass box for 4 15"s is worth $900? in my opinion..NO. is a mdf box for the same thing worth $500? no. but shops will charge it. whats wrong with me suggesting he builds it himself? sorry if im cutting into your profit
