Fi wtf?

he might be sold on hype and expecting somthing more, thats why I say sealed. if he is getting 44 volts@2 ohms it has to be out of phase.
shouldn't it still hit if its out of phase? the only reason out of phase is a problem is when there's something cancelling it out (as far as I know)

yeah, itself.

hes gonna smoke the coil ismy bet because he doesnt understand series wiring

go from one coil pos to other coil neg.

then you have 2 free terminals

connect them to amp.

Man go check the amp again. Make sure its setup right.

Turn your SSf Filter down, the gain at about 11:00, and the crossover about middle way Just FOR TESTING.

Pull the sub out. Unwire it and wire up both coils in parallel. JUST FOR TESTING. LOW VOLUME!!!

See if it corrects the problem. Got to be Phase.

No.

If it's out of phase then it will barely make any noise at all. When you wire a DVC subwoofer out of phase, one coil is trying to push and the other one is trying to pull. The result is a sub that barely moves and will make little to zero sound.

you just told him to run his 2 ohm stable amp at .5 ohm.

that will surely ruin his amp.

No i told him to just do that for TESTING.
If hes unsure how to properly wire in series that would help him in a easy way.

At LOW volume.

After that wire it properly. If he has both coils wired in parallel and both positives and Negs on the sub are hooked up and it still does nothing then its a labeling error. Most likely. I apologize i didnt finish the post LOL.

Reverse the wires on 1 coil and see if it fixes the problem.

My friend (mikeyb on here) knows all his shit and he wired it. When it didnt hit i took it back out, replaced 16 to 12g and double checked it and still nothing.

I'll probably take it out tomorrow and check again to be super sure.

check amp is set to l.p.f.

and s.s.f. is set to 30 or below.(not 60 and above)

try just 1 coil gently, if the bass is nice, connect the other coil, if bass dissappears, re-connect the second coils wires reverse.

That picture shows a sub wired in parallel, not series like your sub needs to be.

Or he doesn't run it at 0.5, because that's stupid.
Wire it correctly and set the amp correctly, and there is no need to do anything different.

So if he wired in series out of phase and Romped on the volume knob that = what?

No.

oh yea i was thinkin if he just had the polarity reversed
