Fi wtf?

I just got an Fi ssd 15" D1 copper coil, put it in a 2.2 cu ft sealed box powered by alpine mrp-m1000 (1000wrms @ 2ohm) and this thing barely hits...barely.

The suspension seems super stiff but i cant imagine it making THAT much of a difference. Setting the gain to 44.7 like it should be..it borderline didnt even make noise. Not until i turned it just below half way did it hit and that was only 3 super bass heavy songs, the rest is poop. Like less than a shitty 10".

I have 4gauge, 50amp fuse, and 12g to the woofer. 120 amp alt, ultima redtop..no blown fuses. Everything in my car is new.

Fi doesnt recommend a sealed enclosure for that driver. Maybe you should start there.

Could have wired a coil out of phase.

Also, 4 gauge with a 50 amp fuse isn't very good for a 1000 watt RMS amp.

crossovers set wrong??? I did that before. Set my lpf like it was a hpf and vice versa. Only got bleed through.

Uh.....Check your grounds

Make sure your sub is wired to the correct impedance.

Check and double check everything.

It's something with your wiring/amp.

That sub should sound pretty good in that box.

Check your wiring a million times.

i had 4ga and a 60 amp for a viper 1200.1Dfor awhile..
