FI Vs. TC Sounds

i am debating on what subs i sould get for my next setup, it will be goin into a 91 dodge dynasty in a wall, tc sounds lms 18's, or fi btl 18's...i know these are two totally different setups like spl and sq but i would like and sql driver, all setups will be with proper tuning andpower...im mainly looking for spl but want to retain GOOD sound quality...like a guy (ssaudio on roe) said he hit 150+ will no wall with 2 18" lms's so they must be loud as hell anyway, thanx for the help.

whats up guys i got a question.

i want an all spl system. im looking at the SI mag, and also at a RE MT. i know the mag is one of the best sounding woofers around. and i know the MT is an all out spl based woofer. but im going for SPL, so what sub should i get guys?

which one would work better in an SPL install?

my answer is in my avitar. I've heard both subs in daily driver appilcation and both are bad *** on the spl side, but the TC takes it for sounding better IMO. Dont get me wrong the BTL's sound good in low tuned dd boxes, but the 5200's sounded better and require far less airspace to do the job. My 5200 18'' was in 3.5cubs @ 34Hz (dont recall the port area off the top of my head but it was more port area than the website recommended) and it was phenominal.

in SPL application ive seen the 5200's do as amazing as well as btl's. I loved my 5200 so much so much...

i miss my 18 so much....blazing cars and what not put a damper on things for me..

and yes i'm also unhappy with the price hike too......
