yea thats what i figured...then i would hafta get into a high output alternator and all that....in your opinion will the se's be pleanty loud without compromising sound?

I loved my SEs, to this day I swear by them. Mine were ported though...

Still, they are great performers

im just starting to get into all this stuff so im still trying to figure out all this but my am (hifonics 1606) on their web says at 4 ohm its only rated for 550 watts total, and i no the SE's are rated for 4 ohm...could i still have it all wired for 1 ohm or no?

2 12" RE SE Dual 4ohm subs would final wire to 1ohm and would be a nice combo...

Parallel, positive to positive all the way to amp and same with negatives

so if i have two seperate outputs from my amp and just go positive to positive negative to negative and do the same with the other sub but with a different speaker cable it will come out to be 1 ohm load?

Each sub, Positive to positive on each terminal and to amp... same with negatives

and repeate on other sub

so like go from positive terminal on the sub to positive on amp, then negative terminal on sub to negative on amp? same for the other sub?

Yes, but the subs will have 2 terninals...

Same with the subs, pos to pos

Neg to neg...
