Fi SSD for SQL (LOUD)

any sub that is build for pure SQ reproduction is not supposed to get "loud." there are subs that get loud and are not all distortion...

i guess its all relative to each persons definition of loud...

i know, it sounds dumb as hell, but its the truth. its a medium between the two. im not saying its legit, im just saying ive heard alot of talk about it...

whys that, because my post count isnt in the thousands? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif
Your post count doesnt have to be in the thousands to know that there is no such thing as SQL. What you are referring to is non-existent. I don't blame you for calling it SQL and I'm not lashing out on you, it's a term that has been adopted that people just made up.

No, there isn't. It's one or the other. People think SQL is a form of audio, but it's NOT. They think that sounding good is the same as SQ, there is a big difference. With SQ, your entire setup is supposed to blend, with no one speaker, whether mid, tweeter, sub, (or horns), being over emphasized over the other.
Now, sounding good, that's part of SQ, but it's only PART of it. Imaging and the stage has a great deal to do with it. People who mention they want SQL want the sounding good or clean aspect of SQ.

What you are interested in is something that has a good amount of output, but sounds good and is not an SPL setup.
like i said, i never meant it was legitimate. its obviously not. i was trying to say the op wasnt just cofusing letters, that people do refer to it as sql. i didnt mean to come across like it was an actual form of audio.

i know that sounding good is just a part of sq, and not the definition. i think you guys just misunderstood what i was trying to say. no harm done.

like i said, just a misunderstanding. thank you for handling it maturely, with a legitimate response.

Well the thing that has me confuse is that when im playing my ssd's at lower volumes they sound good like bass sounds cleaner etc when i start cracking it up they get loud and i start feeling air pressure and the sound becomes somewat more stronger but not as clean and no i dont mean distortion i dont get distortion at full tilt, idk maybe its just me.

OP

SSD would be a good choice. the Flat wound coil will allow the sub to handle more power

Other subs to look into Audio Pulse Revo, Old School JL W6, RE Audio XXX (Old School Ones), Brahma's, JL W6v2 if you can afford it...

so going to the SSD from a W6 will it gain more output?
and is it a sub that distorts?
Yeah, youll get more output out of the ssd's and get louder, just put them in a good box etc and they'll take care of you:)

distortion? idk i guess its just how well u set up your install

Well they will be in a 1.0 chamber sealed per 12", is this not suitable for them?
