Fi SSD 15" Break in

And you know what experience I have with equipment? I do not own any FI equipment, but have owned 100's of speakers and subs, always break in your speakers unless you like crap sounding equipment. (popping, creeking, supposed coil rub sound, etc)

you have no clue, that is what you have. Hundred of these subwoofers have been used on the forums alone. Not one person has had problems with the softparts, only thing is motors cracking in half.

Keep calling names douch. Makes you look real tough. No one has had problems with soft parts? Why are these people selling their blown Fi SSD's then?

Like I said before. They are good subwoofers, don't get me wrong. They are just like any other subwoofer, it is a "good idea" to break them in......not throw 800-1000WRMS at them right out of the box on the first bump. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif ¿Comprende?

I read and understand what you mean. If you want to go full tilt because its a magical FI driver (sounds like Dr. Subwoofer anyone?) then go ahead! Apparently all the engineers who design this equipment have no idea what they're doing. You can take your average sub and think it sounds great after hammering on it. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
Seriously, just shut up and stop trying to make Wen sound like he is saying something he is not... OP play the damn thing your car, in the right box, with the gains on your amp set with a DMM and it will be just fine for however long I will put money on it...

I've never broken in any sub I've ever owned and never had any problems. Even running CVRs, I had 750 rms going to them straight out the box and no issues.

The sub I got from SPLAudio, straight 1500w RMS to it. Even he says you don't need to break in his ****.

Also those threads you posted are way old and there is no telling how those subs got blown. You can't just assume they were blown due to not breaking in. Most subs get blown due to overpowering or clipping the sub, not from not breaking in.

Its true that at its most basic, the break-in period is the development of micro-cracks in the spider's epoxy. But music is transient, play the subs at whatever (reasonable) level you want right out of the gate. The spiders will wear in 'evenly'.
