Fi question

This forum blows. Honest question and this is how its handled? I spend countless hours trying to find answers for these questions. Another member wanted to know the same thing I have been searching for, and THIS BS is what we get?!@!!!? Cmon man. How can you people honestly say you have passion for this. I see less flaming when a noob comes on and asks how to turn there radio on. WTF. Good way to welcome new members A-hole!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now when people search the net, as I did, they will find this and defer from joining this nonsense, and go elsewhere.

What is the actual power handling of an Fi Q with the BP power addition?
As far as power handling...we say..2-400 watts of additional power handling depending upon application. So that would be ~1300 watts...

I hope you get ***** by a tree.

I hope you know the dude who answered your question... had a hand in designing that woofer.

Then he should have suggested possible worn suspension, as that was the true answer. Before you both jumped the conclusion callin me names and saying it was my fault.

No disrespect intended... but when none is shown to me, a paying fi customer, doesnt say alot. All is fair....

Read below:

If you are bottoming a speaker out it is nothing short of user error...
You didn't have a subsonic filter set properly (2-4 Hz below tuning frequency of enclosure)..or if it was sealed it was either too large, or it leaked.

I just said what is quoted above and answered your question. What others did, I do not control. What could possibly be "Worn suspension" would be due to what I have quoted above...it could be fixed with a recone. However if you do not fix the issue that is causing it you will be right back here again with the exact same problem. If you correct the cause of the problem, then you will no longer have a problem anymore. If you do not correct it..nothing is going to change and you are going to do it again.

Speakers are dumb, they simply do what you tell them to do in the environment that you put them in.

I was mainly referring to other fellow. I didnt even ask a question, as this is someone elses thread that I tried to voice my opinion on. Thanks for the info tho. I bought the sub used 2 weeks ago, so it's really not "user error". I had everything correct..spec'd boxes, airtight im sure of, thats one thing I CAN do. It was only the crazy lows that threw it off.

Problem found at least...
