Hey does anyone know whether the SW8000 is a 3 or 4 ohm coil ? Eclipse site says its a 3 ohm http://www.eclipse-web.com/us/sw/sw8200.html

Retailer says 4 ohm http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_7489_Eclipse+SW8000.html

Also whats everyones impression on this for a daily SQL sub ? What little I can find most say sealed but how would it be ported and what size box ?

Amp is an MBQuart DSC 2000.1 will run 2 if 3 ohm or 3 if 4 ohm to keep my electrical a little bit happier. Car is an 07 Mustang.

i think the all black basket is the newer model, single 3 and the silver is single 4.

i just checked out a local chain store and they have these subs on sale for $100, thinking about getting one.... maybe HT downfire....

In order to answer your question, I would need to know what model (e.g. SW4200, SW7524DVC). Also, are you looking to make a ported box or sealed?
