yo does any body have experience with this sub? better sq outta this then a alpine type x? it'd be going in a 4 cub box tuned to 32hz. 2 12"s on a aq3500d amp.

which would sound better the type x or the fi q?

also would the fi bl 12's be that much of a difference then the q's. i no the q's are sq oriented an the bl's are spl but do the bl's get loud and maintain good sound quality while bein loud. it'd be in the same enclosure except im sure i'd want it tuned higher then 32hz for the bl. the biggest the box could be is 2.5 per a sub. an the bl's would be on that 3500 wired to 1 ohms. i listen to rap an i just wanna get loud and have reall good bass but still hear every word of the song in my car.

so any recommendations?

with 3500 watts on your sub stage, it's going to be tough to hear your vocals. Have you ever thought about upgrading your door speakers? I'd go with the Q's as they can get loud and sound good. The Q's only really need about 1000 RMS to get moving, so a pair of them would be fine off of the AQ 2200D. Do you have the electrical system to power 2200 watts?

x2 on the Q's off a 2200 as a 3500 is too much power for them.

Hearing the words has NOTHING to do with your subs, so plan on spending $$$ on your front stage...

o im def upgrading my front stage. im getting those PPI 356CS and givin them 150 watts each. so the q is a better sq sub then the alpine type x?

ya ill have the electrical. i just upgraded my alt to a HO alt, im gonna get a deka intimidator 9a31 for the amp if its a 2200 an im gettin the big 3 done so electrical wont be a problem.

an seriously if i wanted to spent 600 bucks on a gay jl w7 then i would posted that. so stick to what im asking. Q or x.

Honestly, I really doubt you're looking for sq, especially since you listen to rap and "just wanna get loud." The difference in sq between the q and BL probably won't be noticeable to you.

That said, I think you'd be much happier with a BL. Iv'e owned both, and the bl will suit most people better. And, on your 3500 watts, that's really too much even for a loaded Q. On the other hand, it'd be great for a BL.

would the non loaded bl be good on a 2200d? would that get them moving good?

Yeah, 1100 would be good for a BL. My friend's currently running one of his zx1000 (which does around 1100) and it pounds.

But yeah, i'd definetely take both a q and a bl over a type x though.
