Larger enclosures are more efficient than smaller ones but the tradeoff is reduced mechanical power handling. The Q has plenty of Xmax so mechanical power handling shouldn't be a problem if the box is ported.

all in a 5cuft net box

2 l7's ported on a kicker 1500.1

2 fi ssd's ported on a kicker 2500.1

4 fi ssd's sealed on a pair of kicker 2500.1 or an amp that is 4kplus

Depending on what your buying the sub for, you'd be better with the Fi Q's. Are you looking for Sound quality or for SPL? The Q's are a great sub for music, but not as hardcore for winning SPL comps compared to the BL's. And forget the Kicker L7's, they're not as great as people think. I beat a guy last year that was running a pair of 15" L7's with my two 10" Fi BL's. Also smoked a guy running JL 13W7's.

id have to go with the 4 FI SSD's on 5K more cone area more power i would try to go ported with it it would probly come out alot louder or even get a wall built with the ports facing the front and the subs faceing the back

The 2 Fi SSD ported will be louder for about half an octave (like 28-45 hz). The 4 SSD sealed will be louder above and below that.

the 4 ssd's in a sealed might be louder, but they won't hit the lower freq's as good. More surface area with the same power normally gives you more volume, but a ported enclosure will always be louder than a sealed. Why not run with a pair of 12" BL's, they handle more power and they sound friggin awesome. They will be a lot better than your other choices.

4 SSD sealed will be louder below about 30 hz and above about 45 hz. So it really will hit the LOW frequencies better.

uhggg im not sure the ssds will handle close to 1500 watts a piece....

go with 2 qs ported on a 2500.1, unless you plan on setting your gains carefully with the SSds, but if your talking about spending the money on 4 ssds, just get 2 Qs with all options and put all of that amp on them.

everyone knows they arnt full SQ subs there more for SQL they can sound good but still get loud off a right amp

SQ and SQL are basically the same....yes they can get loud but bragging that you beat someone that had 2 subs built bore for SQ means nothing, and shouldnt be bragged about

its not really braging bout the fact he beat 2 SQ subs the fact that he beat 2 JL subs that are priced WAY to high for what the can do with 2 10" you would be braging to if you had 20" of cone and they had bout 27" of cone really and when there subs cost like 2 or 3 times as much as your do
