Fi Q 12" with only 1,000 watts, ok?

wow you're kidding right? An email from Fi a couple days ago said that the lead time was still 10-15 days
Typically from my experience, I bought from them on 3 different occasions and it took usually 3-4 weeks from day of order to my house. It could take longer or less depending on how much orders they have or if they have to wait for a parts to come in. It's 10-15 business days, not actually days.

For 1000 watts?
1000W + other accessories in the car like headlights, A/C, radio, speakers, etc.. If he has an amp for the speakers, that's another couple hundred watts.. It's always better to produce more power than you can use.

If he is truly running at 1 ohm and use thick wires, it's more of a load on the electrical too, which is why I said MAYBE he might need a H/O alternator but it's certainly not required.

He shouldnt need a h/o alt.period unless he has other devices that draw alot of current. And judging from his experience level his car has no other voltage draw other than factory and the 10amp cigarette lighter

True that, I don't know what he's running in his car. I was simply putting it out there. My stock alternator was 80 amps originally and even when I ran only 1000-1200w of power, I could feel it dying on me at max volume driving around for a period of time.

Sounds like a bit of clipping or just running hard as hell. Most factory batts can still handle 100amps of current draw if the alt is helping by supplying 75amps are so.

Oh and 1k at 1ohm isnt any harder on the electrical than 1k at 2ohm thats a myth that ohms law easily dismisses. Amp efficiency is more dependent on amp design than ohm load when using maximum avaliable power

Yeah my electrical is pretty good, full HID/LED conversion front too back inside and out actually made a huge difference in current draw

And being a 2014 Honda I have to make sure my headlights are on in order to trip the ELD system and have the alternator charge at full duty

And I also noticed very little voltage drop when I was putting 800+ to my SE 12
