But yeah I had to take off the whole rubber outter rim to line the holes up, and since the adhesives holding the rim to the metal were on the holes, the rubber rim isn't as securely attached as it was but atleast the holes are lined up now.

I will have to drill through the very outer skirts of the surround.

It is not supposed to be completely secure, the glue that was holding it was just excess from glueing the surround down.. It will also not hurt anything by drilling through the thin piece of surround covering the hole.

Ok, just making sure.

It's on there and on there tight. I just got the subwoofer in today and I have been inspecting it. Its a gorgeous subwoofer and I look the massive size and shape of it and the very simplistic look of it.
