fi BTL 15 vs Audioaue HD3 15

i would personally go with aq... but thats me...
yes the hd3 is alot like dd's 9500's...

HOWEVER... it does not have as good as efficiency at disbursing heat. so it can only take so much power past 4kw...

and it has different suspension...

other than that it is built by the son of the owner of dd ( jassa)

thats my 2 cents....
Just to let you know, the cooling on the AQ subs works just fine, and does a hella job //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif It can take more than 4kwrms for burps just not daily, I know Ive done it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif The owner Leon Langford "DJ" or DJL on this forum is the father of DD's (Jassa) please do some research //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Id go with the btl with cooling. That driver is designed to be beaten on a daily basis.
Also the aQ's fs is really high if its like a dd which would make it less desireable for a daily
HD312 = 33hzBTL = 39hz

am i missing something ?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

thats what I was thinkin

AQ 10", 12" Fs=33

FI BTL 10" Fs=40.2 and the 12" Fs=39.8 with dual 2ohms as per web site.

Parameters that are posted on the website are a 2 slug 'standard' version of all sizes with a flatwire coil.

We don't even offer a BTL 10 for anything more then farting in a CRX...(no musical application at all what so ever, we simply wont build one)

Add options, every parameter changes.

If it were me, the HD3 in the AQ spec box > the BTL

Yes, I've heard both.

i am sorry i must have misheard my buddy when we were talking....

i have heard also that the hd3 4kw daily.... but again i could be wrong...

Not a chance
Oh really? Somebody forgot to tell mine that. It's really up to the end user on how much power a sub can handle daily. An Idiot would blow one with 4kw, no doubt, but some one with some decent common sense could run the sub with that much power just fine.

Both subs are good I'm sure. I would choose the AQ for two main reasons. Price and box size. The AQ's won't waste near as much space in your car as the BTL in an optimal enclosure for the woofer. Either way both subs are loud as fawk.
