trump is just using the obama model to win the presidency. At this point it wouldn't be surprising if he actually wins. It's actually quite brilliant, to be honest. Liberals have spent decades pandering to minorities and telling them up that pubs are evil and out to get them but dems will protect them. And they rode that train with a black candidate right into the white house. But now after 8 years of nothing changing with a black man in office they seem to be growing immune to liberals. On the other side, white males in this country have been demonized but libs for decades and they seem to be fed up. Riding the trump train is just a big f u to dems.

-candidate with no political experience who came out of nowhere and gained huge popularity overnight.
-campaign completely centered around evoking emotions with a catchy slogan; hope & change vs make america great again.
-panders mostly to a specific group of individuals that feel slighted by the previous administration; minorities vs middle/low class whites.
-literally no plan whatsoever. Never give answers to any questions or gives a plan for how they're gonna accomplish anything at all. Just repeats a catchy slogan and how they're gonna change america, but never tells anyone how they're gonna do it.
-hated, demonized, mocked and feared by the other political aisle to the point that it's a weird, unhealthy obsession. Opposition acts as if they're some sort of evil dictator that's gonna destroy the us and anyone who votes for them is an idiot. Imo, a lot of the hate is because they know it's a train they can't stop.
