I have a TL, its powered by the USB and AC. So yes you need a ac outlet to use it. I have the original Termlab disc, also I have the login to the Termpro site to keep your software updated at all times ($100 value). I just bought a brand new cat5e cable for it because the original had a bit of wear and tear. It has bassrace, db drab, nspl, all kinds of options. I also have a Dell laptop that only has the termlab software loaded on it. I use it for the meter only. Its a bit beat up, the F8 key fell off and the latch to hold is shut broke, but it stays shut anyways and you can still use the F8 key. It may need a new battery, but I will ship 2 batteries. The laptop is a Dell Latitude 800. I would like to get $600 shipped for both and would prefer not to split them up.
