Hi all, I've been in the process of getting a new system and i've been through a lot of lower level stuff. So now, I wanna do it big, but also on a budget.. I know that doesn't sound like it goes hand in hand but, i'm trying to make it as cost effective as I can.

For the sub i'm pretty keen on getting the RE Audio MX12D2 - 1500 wrms

since i wanna get that sub, i had a few questions.. i've been hearing a lot about cadence amps while i did my research.. the cadence TXA-1000D more specifically.. this amp is 1000 wrms.. keep in mind the 1000wrms is at 1ohm, it is a fully 1ohm stable amp

so here are the questions:

1) while researching i came across how an amp should be 35% more powerful than the sub, is this true?

2) is it alright to have this 1000wrms amp pump the 1500wrms sub?

3) does this look like a good set up, is there anything you recommend i look in to, for example a bigger amp?

1) Although more power is never a bad thing, the amount of power you'll actually need is dependent upon the box used and your personal listening habits.

2) Yes, there's nothing wrong with any amp running that sub.

3) Refer to #1

In my opinion, always get the most quality power you can afford with your budget. Headroom is never a bad thing; it's always better to have too much power than too little.
