Fedex for the win! 12" MT

I love it when people ship shit in "crates" and think it shouldn't get damaged.
Truth of the fact is, I've found that it's NOT best to ship subs in crates. Most of the time they're made entirely too rigid.Which is a huge no no.With all the abuse the package will receive, it needs to have some flex.Otherwise the wood will split, or the glue bond will.Chances are, when it breaks it'll cause more damage to the item than anything.
how would you sudjest to ship then?

looks like it was packed wrong....

You can place a 50 lb sub loose in popcorn and tape the box

and expect it to arrive safe and sound...

It has to be placed in a box (the original works well)so it cant move at all then

boxed in a larger box filled with popcorn

dont blame the courier blame the seller.....

I have learned the hard way

There is no way is hell that the sub damaged like that from shipping. It could NOT have rusted and such that way. No way in hell.

100% shippers fault, and your fault for not getting on his *** about a better crate

i cant say it wasnt damamged by fedex, i used to work there... and if packaging came apart.. they would jsut finde another box to put it in and put it back on its path, plus, some people REALLY throw packages around like they dont give a dayum

may i ask who the seller is?

As mentioned, that crate looks pretty janky lol.

Funny how all of the subs I've shipped have never been destroyed //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif. I guess my packages just get treated better? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

I've had those foks drop packages that very heavy as hell, like 4 feet down. Even when FRAGILE was written in huge lettering...ALL OVER the package //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif.

Shipping companies=more scandalous than insurance companies //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I make sure to write fragile all over packages, but even then like stated places don't give a crap.

Maybe a company that advertises how nicely they could delivery packages than how fast and how many would be nice for the common people.

Oh well, Bahamas here I come

When i sent my XXX 18 to RE for Repair i built a crate kinda like RE used to use it contained 2 pieces of OSB board 3/4 with 12 pieces of 2X4 screwed together with 3" screws and stapled for bracing then stuffed around the sub with pieces of 4" foam then cut 2 pieces of 4" foam to fit on top and bottom of crate packed so tight is was a pain in the *** to test fit... all in all it arived at RE with half the basket through the cone and part of the motor broke with 4 of the 12 pieces of 2x4 broke.......UPS FTW.... got $475 on insurance
