couldn't of been a good top. how would it of fit with all the edges being uneven.

i'd take a DMM to the coils and see if they read right. even if dropped and destroyed coils shouldn't be burnt up.

I vote its the shippers fault, fedex probably had no choice and had to put it in a cardboard box after they tossed it and that crate crumbled.

Basically what I was saying is if it was in perfect condition when it left the shipper it likely didnt rust over the time fedex was shipping it just beause fedex wash shippping it except for the fact that there was likely no padding for hte motor so it probably got banged up and chipped...leaving it open for rust to happen. In that case it is the shippers fault.

I love it when people ship shit in "crates" and think it shouldn't get damaged.

Truth of the fact is, I've found that it's NOT best to ship subs in crates.Most of the time they're made entirely too rigid.Which is a huge no no.With all the abuse the package will receive, it needs to have some flex.Otherwise the wood will split, or the glue bond will.Chances are, when it breaks it'll cause more damage to the item than anything.
