looks tiny. enclosure calulator says its .271 cu ft.

is that TOO small or could i run it in that for the time being?

I've never seen a side shot of an assassin before, so it might be made like that, or it might have come unglued.What you see is the voice coil former.

Have you tried pushing down on the cone to see if the spider moves with it or not?If the spider doesn't move when you move the cone, chances are it became unglued or wasn't even glued in the first place.If it does, it was probably made that way.I'm not too familure with the way they're built.

thats what it is...VC former.

it almost does look unglued but it only looks like that on a small part of the former. the spider does move with the cone though so well see when it gets boxed.

just one? hmm. was it performance effecting? the marks are from this plastic piece they had on top of the sub for shipping. it just creased into teh gasket.

sub is brand spankin new bought from ascendantaudio.com themselves.

i was thinkin 10 " high x 11" wide x 12" deep which is about .49 cubic foot. size about right?

bah i only bought 2 bar clamps so now ima have to wait for glue to set before continuing...
