know right where your talking about, i think its somthing els now though. i ate there many years ago on the way to pine mt. ga. ft. benning is one big army base, i got the chance to shoot at thier rifle range in a comp match 2 years ago.

nope its still there...i just talked to Ft. Bennings Public Relations officer last week and i asked about that place...he said he and his co-workers eat there about 3 times a month. I was stationed at Ft. Benning in the early 90's

Ruby Tuesday: Lousiana Cajun Tillapia topped with shrimp in a cheese sauce with mashed red potatoes

sounds kinda like the talapia with shrimp and creole sauce at outback steakhouse. ive had it a few times and liked it, but i usually get the filet. we went to applebees couple weeks anf got ny strips with shrimp parmesan and onions on top and. bacon and chjeese mased potatoes and it was good, but i dont really like ny strips so i think ill try the sirloin or ribeye

very good, i have about 900 acres in lumplin ga(about 30mins away from there)and will be going up there next month so ill see if i can find it and check it out, i must have been thinking of somewhere els.

Ive had both and the one at outback isnt nowhere near as good

i have had the steak with parmesan and and shrimp at applebees and it was ok. it wasnt anything special. the steak was meh and the shrimp tasted cheap. the mashed potatoes were good though

if you don't like strip steak then don't get the sirloin...its pretty much the same cut. The ribeye is cut from very close to the strip but is a bit more tender

Charley's Steakhouse (Orlando, FL) for steak (32 oz. porterhouse, usually)

Pearl's Crabtown (OKC) Cajun Crab Boil - small red potatoes, half-ears of corn, large shrimp, crab legs and andouille sausage, boiled in hot Cajun spices and dumped right on your table on butcher paper. For Italian it's definitely the veal Parmesan at Pete's Place in McAlester, OK. I've had alot of veal in alot of places, but nothing touches it. Closest I've found was at a little hole in the wall place called La Trattoria in the Maho area of Sint Maarten, Netherlands Antilles. I'm sure there are tons of places in the country that would rival either of these, but my experience hasn't turned any up yet... gotta keep looking! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Also, Mulate's in Breaux Bridge, LA is my favorite for overall Cajun food and atmosphere, with live music and great red beans & rice. They also make their own beer, which is also great!

From a Sous Chef perspective, hands down the French laundry, Le Bernardin, Chantrelles. I start with amuse bouche' and gradually move into the 16 course grand tasting menu paired with local wines and intervals of palate cleansers and seasonal farm aged cheeses. I'll usually finish with a stop at my local Taco bell for mexi-nuggets smothered in that ooey, toxic, strictnine flavored cheese sauce.

i have been going to Olive Garden alot just to get their steak gorganzola alfredo. if you havent had it before it is VERY good. i bought 2 orders of it last time just so i could have leftovers.
