fastest uve driven?

U are so dumb, a Skyline comes stock with Turbos and it will waste a stupid stock cobra
Not dumb, I can read, and that means I know there are some Skylines offered without turbos. I'm not talking about what Gran Turismo or Need for Speed has, I'm talking about REAL LIFE!!! Which Skylines are you talking about? R32? R33? R34? There are non-turbo Skylines, even if they were only offered in limited quantities, but then again I dont spend my time reading up on a pig of a car that isn't even offered in the US until very recently. So before you start calling people "dumb" I'd think twice, for fear that you end up making yourself look dumb after you find out your wrong. On top of all this, WHO CARES!!! You live in the United States. Stop riding some overseas import boner and start talking about cars you can actually get your hands on. Good grief, it's like talking to a brick wall. I'm about to give up.

NOTE: Looks like through research that most of the non-turbo versions were offered outside of Japan, and that Japan never saw them. At least thats what I can gather after searching. Also, are you aware that the Skyline goes against half of what you're debating about? The Skyline is a HEAVY car. No two ways around it. Many, many cars out there would hand it it's *** on a silver platter on a autocross course, and quite a few would own it on a road course as well. The Skyline is more like a Japanese muscle car. It's big and heavy, and it's got alot of brute power, and with AWD acceleration is going to be insane, but there are other things out there that are lighter and more nimble, like the imports of today in comparison to America's muscle cars.

u just need to relize that alot of awd and imports will handle better than mustangs and camaros. Your just sticking up for the american cars, what u need to do is drive differen't car and u will see that an awd sti will handle better and alot of other imports.

I'm not taking up for anyone. I just said a few post back that a modern day muscle car sucked for anything but speed, and thats more drag racing than handling as well. That doesn't sound like I'm sticking up for anything. Are YOU talking from experience? I doubt it. If you take a semi-heavy car like a WRX or Evo or a real heavy car like a Skyline and put it up against a REAL handling car like a Miata, S2000, BMW anything, etc you'd see what I'm talking about. I've been in these cars ON autocrosses and road courses, I've watched these kinds of things happen in multiple SCCA races. I've seen the time sheets to prove my thoughts. I know these things from REAL WORLD EXPERIENCE. Not what someone else said, not from playing some video game.

It really just seems like your a kid who doesnt know when to be quiet, talking a bunch of stuff that you think you know, and downing things you have no idea about. I used to be just like you when I was younger and thats why people like you push my buttons. I hate how I was and I can't stand that type of attitude.

Yup, Josh is right again. There are non turbo skylines. There area also RWD skylines, 4 door skylines, pickup(yes, a truck shaped) skylines. It is perhaps one of the most modded jap car in the world, straight from factory.

AWD handle better? Pfffft, AWD, in track racing, is a handicap!!

I can show you a clip of a R34 GTR V-spec get ripped a new one by two mildly tuned '83 corolla AE86. AWD vs RWD, there just isn't much to say.

The only times that I think a 4WD is called for :

Rally, emergency maneuvers and short slalom events (albeit lots and lots of front tire wear, sometimes up to the metal belt)

Give a profession race driver a choice between a AWD and RWD, he'll look at you funny.

Also, someone asked if anyone's car has better roadholding than 0.9G's.. i do, my ol' superkart.. lol~

Also, I've been a reader of Car & Driver/ Road & track since '91. Their lap times, acceleration tests have been proven to be VERY reliable by many many authorities worldwide. I wouldn't exactly ignore them..//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Ok, just one more...

dbhittin, the reason why a skyline driver would win a cobra is prolly cause of driver. The skyline does give a very high sense of security to most drivers, whilst the thought of a nasty tailwhip from a powerful RWD scares untrained drivers. However, going downhill, do believe the comics and cartoons, drift the buggers downhill... racing line just doesn't apply anymore.

Just my 2 cents, from a retired avid track racer. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
