Farve is a Jet

Barry could have went to another team, but chose to simply walk away. That shows his class. I like Farve, but his decisions to force himself into training camp and create a rift within the team just shows selfishness.
Another classic case of not knowing when to walk away.
could of been handled 20000000 times better by the packers...they went way out of line making up stories about cell phones and tampering..they made it into a much larger circus:laugh:

I think Farve should have walked away when he said he was going to twice. Why can't more players have class like Barry Sanders and retire in their prime.
Farve is making a mockery of the team with wanting to play a couple of months after he retires. The team needs solidarity, and Brett Farve the one man attention ***** is counter productive to that goal.

class? honestly what barry did wasnt really anything different from what TO or Chad Johnson tried to do this season. he wasnt happy about his contract so he threatened to quit. he couldnt go to another team cause the lions refused to let him go. so instead of honoring his contract he quit.

and favre isnt the reason the circus insued. he gave them a months notice and thought the team, like they should of, would welcome him back. they could of prevented the circus if they woulda just let him come back or released him. all the guy wanted to do was change his mind, you cant blame him for that.

Agreed. I wish they would have just released him so he could have went to the Vikings like he wanted.

Although I am happy just to be able to see him play another year, it would be nice if he were with a better team. He'll help turn the Jets around, but the Vikings are legitimate contenders... with or without him.

I'm not completely sure I understand why people are so in love with Brett Favre. The guy is a bonehead.
Isn't he a former alcoholic?

Isn't he a former painkiller addict?

Didn't he assault his wife?

A lot of people call him the greatest QB ever, which is nothing short of complete BS. Sure, he holds the record for most completions, most passing yards, and most TD's, but he also holds the record for most attempts and most interceptions. Really, he is just a quarterback who throws the ball a lot...especially when he shouldn't.

The fact is that the Packers are an organization that is trying to do long-term planning. Rodgers was their 1st round pick in 2005! How long do you expect them to sit on this guy without developing him? If Favre stayed as the starter for at least one more year, Rodgers would be 26-27 by the time he was making his first start. Even worse, it would be a contract year: how do you possibly make an informed decision on your #1 draft pick and potential future QB when he's only played one season?

Good riddance, Favre! No primadonnas necessary!
He never has. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
