Fart box for 18" btl

I've never made a fart box before and I want to whip one up by the end of the month for a comp. Anyone have any suggestion for and 18" BTL? Power is coming from an IA 20.1 @ 1 ohm (underpowered I know) and 2 G31 Optimas. I peaked at 43 HZ last time I metered but I was tuned to 32 HZ with a DD 3515. Vehicle is a 2003 Nissan XTerra. so I guess I would like input on..

1. how many cubes

2. port area

3.tuning

4.sub/ port placement

I was kinda thinkin around 40hz too only becase it is going to be a long drive and it would be nice if it could play some music lol... thanks for the suggestions. Anyone else?

just build a box with external aero's, that way you can use it for daily while traveling there then switch out the aero for a fart box

hmmm... I always wondered why people did external aeros.... it so obvious now:laugh: That'd be super easy to swap... 6" aeros aren't cheap though:crap:

6 cubes, external aeros, change up as you need for daily and comps, easy enough.

they also help with smooth flow on the inside of the box, no ports messing with the air flow on the inside

and easy to change tuning
