fans for amp

ok i know this is probity a dumb question but i happen to of come across 2 3 inch case fans for a computer and i was wonder if i put one blowing in to my amp and on ******* out would it help keep my amp cool .ide be basically cutting to round circles in the back of my amp and installing them .they say that there dc 12v so they will work on a cars electrical but im just wondering if it would be worth it

they should help if your amp is running hot...

i was wanting to put fans in or on my amps to help them run cool i have zx 1500 and z850.4 and they are mounted behind my back seat and the back wall and the seat is right against the amp so they dont have much air that can get to them and they do get warm

yeah it gets a little hot definitely would int want to touch it after running about 1 hour get your self some nice first degree burns .Il probly put them in either today or tomarow got to figure out how im going to do the amp rack today i had hoped to have it done by now dam rain

it would be cooler but amps are designed to run without one if they didn't come with it....the only other thing is dust in the amp

so it really wouldn't help as far a amp performance .and just be some thing that is unnecessary to put on the amp

it never hurts to put fans on an amp if anything it'll help. never heard of "dust" getting in an amp and affecting it. just because an amp doesn't come with fans doesn't mean it doesn't need it. anyone running a good a/b amp will tell you that. instead of cutting into the bottom of the amps do you have room to have the fans just blow across the amps?

not realy but i could try a few things and see im building the amp rack right now just stoped long enough to have a cig
