fan or sealed rear deck

i have a re se ported facing forward from my trunk, sealed off from my trunk. my trunk though, becomes very hot. i was thinking maybe having a fan in my rear deck, pushing hot air from the trunk to the cabin. Would sealing it off, or helping temps (if that even helped) be better?

did you put deadening in the trunk? If your using the whole trunk as a box and firing into the cab with a port then you really cant do much without messing with tunning.

I ran into trunk temp problems. myself. but I have a ported box firing into the trunk. my amps would be hot without me even turning them on. So I installed a5inch computer fan to a relay that was activatied by the remote line. I used resistors to cut back the amperage draw and not burn out the motor on the fan. I put the fan on my rear deck so that it pulls the cold air from my ac into the trunk. I also have a barrel Stinger fan blowing across my four channel amp, which help circulate that cold air throughout the trunk.

All trunks have a pressure vaulve somewhere. check that and see if it is functional. I just thought I would give you an idea of what others have done. Good luck buddy

its a normal ported box, but sub and port forward. so it would be the rear deck having a hole for a fan to go through.

Are you saying the stereo makes your trunk hot, or the trunk gets hot naturally? What color is your car? Are you running your amps at their minimum impedance? Do you have holes in the rear deck already, for the bass to escape? Has the heat actually caused any problems?
